Retreat Cuisine
The Stowel Lake Farm (SLF) kitchen team provides a seasonally inspired farm to table experience featuring fresh organic produce. Meals are prepared simply and beautifully to feature the natural vitality of fresh whole food ingredients. Meals are served buffet style and guests can customize their meals to their personal preferences.
Dairy free, gluten free and vegan options are available at each meal.
Meal preferences need to be finalized and shared with the SLF team at least two weeks before the retreat start date.
Dietary Restrictions
If a guest has a severe anaphylactic allergy to foods that we serve - we will contact them directly by email and assess if they can eat from our kitchen. We provide plant based meals featuring our farm grown organic produce and organic sourced ingredients. All of our meals are served buffet style, so guests can choose what they want to eat. We provide gluten free, dairy free and vegan options at all meals.
Celiacs
We do use gluten in moderation in our kitchen and therefore we can not guarantee zero cross contamination for guests with gluten allergies like celiac. We do not use certified gluten free ingredients.
Nut and Seed Allergies
We use tree nuts, peanut butter and seeds including sesame seeds and tahini in our kitchen. We can not guarantee zero cross contamination of these allergens. Our kitchen cannot serve guests who are anaphylactic to sesame and certain nuts.
Special Diets
If any guest has a very specific/restrictive diet (eg: low carb/high protein) they will need to supplement our menu by bringing some of their own ready to eat items. If a guest needs to avoid specific foods, they will need to manage this on their own by avoiding dishes that contain those foods, we cannot make special dishes for each guest.
*Gluten, dairy, eggs and nuts will not be in any main dishes.
Guests can bring food to supplement their meals. We do not provide cooking facilities for guests and we cannot prepare your items for you in our kitchen. There is a fridge and microwave for guests to use.
Simple Meal Option
If the selection of options becomes too limiting a guest may request to have steamed vegetables and rice prepared for them for lunch and dinner. This request needs to be made before 9am on the day it is required.
