Gardening Workshop Series

This series of workshops follows the season on Stowel Lake farm, focusing on the practical skills of growing nutrient rich food, building healthy soil, and increasing ecological diversity in your home garden.

We will explore how many conventional growing techniques participate in creating imbalances that lead to troubles with ‘weeds, pests, and drought’, and how we can use nature as a model to create balance.

Sharing what we have learnt using natural pattern tracking, the soil food web, and years of growing on a market garden scale. We hope to help guide you through the practical realities of how to tend your garden space through the cycles of the year.

Garden to Kitchen Workshop Series

We invite you to come on a journey with us, as we wander through the gardens, fields and wild edges. Led by our senses, storytelling and garden wisdom, we begin to notice the patterns and elements of the season that teach us how to tend the land. We will gather and harvest, making our way to the kitchen to taste offerings of the season, talk about different ways to use them, and create something nourishing together.

Each 3-hour Workshop will Include

  • Garden Wander & Harvest

  • Exploration of Culinary & Medicinal Herbs

  • Sensory Meditation & Grounding Practice

  • Light Snacks & Seasonal Beverage

  • Cook-Time in Kitchen

Each workshop will highlight what is in season. See individual workshops descriptions below for registration and more details.
