Gardening Workshops
2026 Gardening Workshops
We are excited to be launching another set of workshops. Our workshops this year follow the growing season on Stowel Lake Farm, focusing on the practical skills of growing nutrient rich food, building healthy soil, and increasing ecological diversity in your home garden. Through demonstrations, and hands on experience we hope that you feel more confident to grow more of your own food.
Who are these workshops for?
Anyone who wants to garden in a more holistic and effective way.
New gardeners in need of help, with the foundations of food growing
Experienced gardeners looking for solutions to their growing challenges, and how to refine and increase their production etc.
These workshops can also be taken individually but will also build on each other nicely.
All workshops are 10 - 3 with a break for lunch. Please bring your own packed lunch, snacks and water with you. We will provide tea & cookies.
Please dress appropriately for the weather, we will be going ahead rain or shine.
We invite you to come on a journey with us, as we wander through the gardens, fields and wild edges. Led by our senses, storytelling and garden wisdom, we begin to notice the patterns and elements of the season that teach us how to tend the land. We will gather and harvest, making our way to the kitchen to taste offerings of the season, talk about different ways to use them, and create something nourishing together.
Each 3-hour Workshop will Include
Garden Wander & Harvest
Exploration of Culinary & Medicinal Herbs
Sensory Meditation & Grounding Practice
Light Snacks & Seasonal Beverage
Cook-Time in Kitchen
Each workshop will highlight what is in season. See individual workshops descriptions below for registration and more details.
