Mustang Wildheart- A 5RHYTHMS Heartbeat Retreat

Mustang WildHeart is a dance/movement retreat rooted in curiosity, learning, and connection. It is a place to explore the terrain of the heart with care, honesty, and aliveness, supported by a clear container and a beautiful natural setting.

At its core, this work is about loving. Loving ourselves more fully. Loving others with more presence and choice. And understanding that our capacity to love is directly connected to our capacity to feel. When our emotional range narrows, our lives narrow too. When we shut down fear, anger, or sadness, we often dull joy, tenderness, and compassion as well.

This retreat offers an opportunity to gently widen that range again.

Through movement, we explore fear, anger, sadness, joy, compassion as experiences that live in the body. We approach them with curiosity rather than judgment, and with awareness rather than force. It is about learning how to stay present with emotional energy and remain intact. How to feel what is true without becoming overwhelmed or shutting down.

Wildness means aliveness, freedom, and responsiveness. Gentleness is what allows that wildness to emerge safely and sustainably. Together, these qualities create the conditions for real connection and deeper trust.

In the Year of the Horse, this work is about motion and freedom. About following instinct rather than habit, and allowing emotions to move as energy rather than getting stuck as patterns.

Mustang Wild Heart is held as a learning lab. There is time to move, to reflect, to integrate, and to connect. We practice noticing how we relate to ourselves, how we relate to others, and what changes when we bring more presence and curiosity into those relationships.

The retreat takes place at Stowel Lake Farm on Salt Spring Island in winter, when the land is quiet, spacious, and deeply supportive. The farm offers a beautiful container for slowing down, turning inward, and being held by nature. We will move together, rest, eat well, walk the land, and spend time in a small, intentional group.

Come as you are.

Bring your wild heart.

Let curiosity lead.
