Weddings on Stowel Lake Farm include:

Exclusive Access

You and your guests will have exclusive access to the farm and gardens for three days and two nights.

Ceremony

  • Beautiful perennial garden for ceremony, garden reception and photography

  • Bathroom facilities near perennial garden for use during the ceremony

  • Outdoor 20’ x 20’ tent

  • Alternative indoor space for ceremony in case of rain

  • Sound system for speeches

  • Indoor chairs and garden chairs

Reception

  • Large upstairs space in our restored Barn that comfortably seats 125 for dinner and dancing. **Music in the Barn must stop at midnight.

  • Commercial kitchen for caterers

  • Large industrial walk-in cooler to chill wine and beer

  • Two washrooms in Barn

Accommodation

Beautiful accommodation for 40 guests with bedding and towels included.

Catering

Our on farm chef, Kari Mathieson, will work with you to design the perfect menu for your entire wedding event for an additional cost.

Flowers

Four big bouquets of flowers from the gardens at on Stowel Lake Farm.

Arrivals

Access to the Farm and accommodation from noon on the day before the wedding. There is ample time for guests to settle in, for set up, decorating, flower arranging, ceremony rehearsal and rehearsal dinner.

Departures

Check out is 2pm the day after the wedding. This allows for a leisurely morning and the option for a brunch.

Pricing

Weddings up to 120 Guests: $30,000 +GST

Payment Schedule

Initial Deposit

We require a non-refundable deposit at the time of booking of $5,000.

Second Deposit

All prices include 3 meals per day, accommodations and facility costs. Rates include the use of the Gatehouse, the Barn, the gardens and a room and meals for two teachers.

Final Payment

To book a retreat, a non-refundable deposit is required. Deposits are not transferrable to alternate dates. The deposit is 10% of the minimum charge.

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellation after the initial booking Stowel Lake Farm retains the initial deposit of $5,000.

  • Cancellation after the second deposit has been made but prior to 90 days before the wedding (between 180 and 90 days before the wedding) Stowel Lake Farm will retain $7,500 (25% of total booking).

  • Cancellation between 90 days and 30 days prior to the wedding, Stowel Lake Farm will retain the 50% deposit ($5,000 initial deposit plus $10,000 second deposit).

  • Less than 30 days prior to the wedding, Stowel Lake Farm retains full payment.
